With just two games remaining in the season, LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball are leaving BC Vytautas. According to sources, this is due to injuries and not a coaching dispute as some believed it to be.

As reported by Donatas Urbonas, a journalist from Lithuania:

The details of the injuries have not been disclosed. But Vytautas head coach Virginijus Seskus expressed his shock at the departure of the Ball brothers. As reported by ESPN, Seskus said:

“It's just another proof they came here to make a show, not for basketball. It's sad they didn't understand what we gave them. We understand how they helped us, but they don't,” Seskus told Lithuanian outlet 15min.lt.

Additionally, Seskus criticized Ball's antics, saying that LaVar does not understand that young kids can't play in a professional league with players over 10 years his senior.

“Whatever. It’s unacceptable. Kids want to play pro but is it an example how to behave? LaVar loves his family but he doesn’t understand that 16yr old kid can’t fully play at strong pro league. That’s the worst.”

For his part, the Ball family patriarch expressed his frustration at the coach. It may hint that a coaching dispute is really the reason why he pulled out his sons from the Lithuanian basketball club.

“You really ask me this? Coach ruined everything, and he'll have to pay the price that Melo is not coming back,” he said.

Ball has not revealed what his next step will be with regard to his sons. LiAngelo has signed up for the NBA Draft but critics don't expect him to be selected by any team.
