The 2017 NBA Draft is just over a month away, but that hasn't stopped LaVar Ball from making bold proclamations regarding his son Lonzo Ball's NBA future.

In the in-depth feature piece by ESPN's Ramona Shelburne about the Ball Family, LaVar made it quite clear once again that he believes the former UCLA product will be suiting up for the Los Angeles Lakers next season:

LaVar is way ahead of him. “Oh, he's going to be a Laker,” he says. “I'm going to keep talking about it until it happens.”

He has repeatedly stated this over the last several weeks with much conviction. It isn't something that he has shied away from in any manner. In similar fashion, Lonzo has also voiced his determined desire to play for his hometown, albeit not so demonstratively.

The Ball Family will get a much clearer picture about whether that can come to fruition on Tuesday night when the NBA conducts the draft lottery. Los Angeles possesses a 46.9 percent chance of retaining their first-round top-three protected pick, with a 15.6 percent chance of grabbing the number 1 spot. If they fall outside of the top three selections, the pick will subsequently go to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Lakers are believed to have a strong interest in adding Ball to their promising young core. Team president Magic Johnson has already stated that the team won't be deterred from selecting the 19-year-old because of his father's continued antics and outlandish statements through the media.

Ball is a unique talent that has received much praise for his ability on the court, with arguably the most potential to become a franchise cornerstone player. He made a tremendous impact at UCLA in his lone season, leading the Bruins to a top-3 seed in the tournament while shattering the school's single-season assist record (274).

Ultimately, the Ball family will finally get some clarity on the entire situation come Tuesday night.
