Lionel Messi won his first international trophy with Argentina in the 2021 Copa America, but it came at the expense of Neymar and his Brazil squad.

After Argentina's 1-0 win over Brazil, Neymar was full of emotion and in tears as he watched their opponents celebrate. Despite the painful result, though, the PSG striker made sure to congratulate his former teammate in Messi.

In a rather touching moment and reunion for the two, Messi and Neymar shared a tight hug as the Brazilian scorer remained in tears.

It was indeed a heartwarming moment between the two football stars, and it only shows the bond and friendship they share even though they are no longer teammates on club level.

Also, if there's anyone who feels Neymar's pain, it is Lionel Messi who had his fair share of heartbreaks throughout the years. After all, Messi's past failures to deliver a trophy to Argentina had been the biggest criticism to him.

However, if there's one thing Neymar can learn from Messi, it's that he needs to have patience and the belief that his time for Brazil will come. Leo never stopped from representing La Albiceleste, and inwhat has been said as his potentially last chance to win  a silverware for Argentina, he delivered.

Given the talent on Brazil and Neymar's growth as a player, he might not have to wait for long to bring home a major trophy to Brazil.
