The Detroit Lions surprised a lot of people around the league when they traded Golden Tate to the Philadelphia Eagles and only a day after the trade was completed, Matt Patricia was already fed up with the questions.

Patricia was holding a news conference talking about the trade when it took a turn for the worse, with Patricia asking a reporter to have better posture when asking a question and scolding him telling him to be more respectful with the process.  Via The Detroit Free Press:

Reporter: “Why do you think this move makes your franchise better?”

Patricia: “Ah, well, you know. Do me a favor just kinda sit up, just like, have a little respect for the process. Every day you come and ask me questions and you're just kinda like you know, ‘gimme this.' ”

Reporter: “I'm sitting …”

Patricia: “I'm asking just to be a little respectful in this whole process.”

Reporter: “Okay, that's fine.”

Patricia: “So ask me a question professionally and I'll answer it for you.”

Reporter: “Okay. Why do you feel like this move makes your franchise better?”

Patricia went on saying he is always looking at ways to make the long-term vision of the team better and he thinks this trade was able to do that. It was an odd exchange and who knows exactly why Patricia went off but it's clear the stress of being an NFL head coach is wearing off on him. It's still early in his tenure with the Lions but it appears he is already trying to burn bridges.
