The controversial non-call at the end of last year's NFC Championship Game has been talked about endlessly for so long that seemingly everyone is growing tired of it, including the players involved like Detroit Lions newcomer, Tommylee Lewis.

Lewis, of course, was the intended receiver on Drew Brees' ill-fated pass. Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman came over to break it up and ended up leveling Lewis. Now with the Lions, Lewis is looking for a fresh start and to put the famous play behind him.

“Not even thinking about that play anymore,” he said recently from Lions camp, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “I done answered so many questions about that play,” Lewis said. “So I’m over it. I’m over that.”

Lewis was the harbinger for the biggest rule change in quite some time, as pass interference can now be reviewed on replay. Still, Lewis doesn't have strong feelings about the change in review rules. When asked whether or not he thought the changes were a good thing, he replied, “I guess. I don’t really – I don’t – whatever.”

Lewis was injured at the beginning of camp, so he's getting a late start now.

“You ain’t got time for catching up,” Lewis said. “That’s why when you’re out you just got to stay up to par, keep up with the tempo and when it’s time for you get back on the field you’ve got to hit the ground rolling.”

Lewis signed a one-year, $920K deal with Detroit, and is battling for a job as their fourth or fifth receiver per Birkett.
