The Houston Rockets had their chances last night. Right up until the final seconds.
After Russell Westbrook missed a free throw with under 10 seconds to play, James Harden had one last shot to win Game 3 for the Rockets. His decision was a contested 3-point attempt from the top of the key as time expired. It hit front rim and didn't fall as the Thunder escaped with the 115-113 victory.

While there were not a lot of options readily available in the moment, some still describe the shot as âhero ball.â Harden had time to penetrate and not go for the win but he elected the most epic of shots.
His teammates had no problem with the decision.

One of the most valuable assets a star like Harden brings to a team is the knowledge that he can get a shot like that during crucial moments, and often make it. It's that kind of play that has gotten the Rockets to where they are today and that final shot was just one reason why they didn't win.
The Rockets got out to a really slow start in the first quarter and played from behind for most of the night against the hungry Thunder team. Russell Westbrook responded with a much more disciplined all-around performance after Game 2's fourth quarter disaster and overall it was too much for Houston to overcome.
Game 4 will be played in OKC Sunday afternoon.
