The start of training camp is just a couple of weeks away, which means teams around the league are making the final touches to their roster.

In line with that, the Orlando Magic have announced that the team has re-signed big man Damjan Rudez to a new deal.

Rudez spent last season with the Magic where he appeared in 45 games while averaging 1.8 points on 35.2 percent shooting from the field with 0.6 rebounds in just 7.0 minutes per game. The 31-year-old will likely look to vie to for one of the final roster spots in training camp. He had played his first two seasons with the Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Magic have struggled to break through over the last five seasons since the departure of Dwight Howard as the team has missed the playoffs in each campaign while winning no greater than 35 games and finishing in fifth place in the Southeast division.

There is nowhere to go but up for the organization that has constructed a roster built around their young core. They have added a few veteran pieces this offseason through free agency with the addition of point guard Shelvin Mack, forward Jonathon Simmons, forward Marreese Speights, and guard Arron Afflalo to the mix.
