The Orlando Magic closed out their home schedule for this season with a sorry 128-96 defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. While most fans would be embarrassed, it seems Magic supporters are um, supporting the defeat as they want the squad to embrace Tankapalooza 2021. RJ Hampton, however, isn't impressed.

The rookie guard is as competitive as they come. So when he was asked about tanking after their latest setback, Hampton's hilarious facial expression gave away his feelings (via Orlando Pinstriped Post).

Talk about facing the difficult question.

It's very possible that Hampton's derp face was just a coincidence and had nothing to do with the reporter's question. But that wouldn't be fun, right? So we're sticking to our theory. Clearly though, as he said, they're not in the business of deliberately dropping games just to have better chances at landing the top overall pick in the next NBA Draft. Also, it was their final home game of the season. They owe it to the fans to play to win.

Hampton did exactly that, finishing with a team-high 19 points off the bench against the Timberwolves. He also tallied five rebounds and three assists in just 29 minutes.

The Magic dropped to 21-47 and will miss the NBA Playoffs. But for sure, RJ Hampton will continue to play hard and perhaps, have a big smile on his face the next time.
