Jaden Hardy has his fair share of doubters, but the Dallas Mavericks rookie is not focusing too much on what they say. Instead, he is doing his best to reach the level he knows he can achieve.

The Mavs youngster balled out in his Summer League debut for the Mavs, putting up 28 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal. He did have six turnovers in the contest and failed to power Dallas to a win against the Chicago Bulls (100-99), but he certainly provided fans a reason to believe that he can be a star in the NBA.

After his hot start to his Mavs career, he made sure to let everyone know the mentality he has.

“I don’t want to prove people wrong. I want to prove myself right,” Hardy shared, per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.

Jaden Hardy is largely considered one of the biggest steals of the 2022 NBA Draft after the Mavs got him with the 37th pick in the second round. In fact Dallas is so confident that he can develop into a solid NBA player or even more that they signed him to a multi-year deal.

Furthermore, even new Mavs big man Christian Wood has been impressed with Hardy's performance so far and thanked Dallas for drafting the youngster.

With Jalen Brunson leaving and moving to the New York Knicks, Hardy figures to have a big role when he suits up for Dallas in 2022-23. By the looks of it, the 20-year-old is ready to embrace that challenge.
