Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis practiced on Monday. The Mavs are listing Porzingis as questionable to face the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
Porzingis is not only sick, but he's dealing with soreness in his right knee. KP has missed the last seven games for the Mavs:
Mavs list Kristaps Porzingis, who practiced today, as questionable for Tuesday vs. Warriors. He’s been dealing with illness in addition to right knee soreness that has sidelined him last seven games.

Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle spoke on Porzingis' status:
either of these games, kind of have to see how he feels tomorrow, coming off the practice with the knee and then also the illness and we’ll see where we are. He’s gotten a little unlucky with his health.”

Porzingis tore his left ACL during the 2017-18 season with the New York Knicks. The Mavs are just being cautious with Porzingis moving forward since he’s one of their franchise cornerstones along with Luka Doncic.
In 31 games this season for the Mavs, Porzingis is averaging 17.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He’s shooting 40.3 percent from the field, 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The Mavs gave Porzingis a five-year, $158.3 million deal this past summer. KP and Doncic are the new faces of the Dallas franchise in the post-Dirk Nowitzki era.
In early 2019, the Mavs inquired about Porzingis’ availability since they were eager to get another star alongside Doncic. A deal was finally able to get done with the Knicks on Jan. 31, 2019. When he requested a trade from the Knicks last season, Porzingis had no idea Dallas was in the mix to acquire him, as the Mavs weren’t one of his preferred destinations at the time.
However, Kristaps Porzingis is enjoying Dallas so far. Now, he just has to get healthy for the long run.
