Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis last played in regular season action on Feb. 26, 2018, when he suffered a torn ACL. The 2019 preseason has been his first opportunity since then to work his way back into form with his Mavs new teammates.

Since playing in preseason action, Porzingis has stated his knee feels great and that he doesn't even think about his it anymore when he's playing.

“I feel great,” Porzingis said, via Mavs.com. “The knee, I don’t even think about it. It’s not an issue at all. My legs feel great.”

The next step for Porzingis is to improve his conditioning and establish consistency in execution. He believes it's ‘only a matter of time' until his conditioning will be up to par.

Kristaps has averaged 22.9 minutes per game during three preseason games with the Mavs.

“I still want to get my lungs a little bit — open them up a little more,” Porzingis said. “It’s only a matter of time when everything will come together and we’ll be ready to go.”

The preseason has been a helpful opportunity for Porzingis and his teammates to get used to playing with each other. He has mentioned that he feels that the team is trusting him and that he has no doubts that his shots will start to fall.

The upcoming regular season will be the first opportunity that Porzingis will have to build off his 2017-18 All-Star campaign. With a talented star like Luka Doncic playing alongside him, KP is now part of one of the NBA's most intriguing duos.
