Mavs star Kristaps Porzingis has a meniscus tear in his right knee.

He's done for the rest of the 2020 playoffs, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Kristaps Porzingis may require surgery on his right knee. To recall, he tore his left ACL with the New York Knicks during the 2017-18 season.

Porzingis appeared in 57 games for the Mavs during the 2019-20 regular season. He averaged 20.4 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and 79.9 percent from the free-throw line in 31.8 minutes a night.

The Mavs signed Porzingis to a five-year max contract in the summer of 2019. While he has All-Star talent, Porzingis has been prone to injuries since entering the NBA, so that's something to monitor moving forward.

Luka Doncic and the Mavs are down 3-2 to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs. Without Porzingis playing moving forward, it appears Dallas will lose to Los Angeles.
