The Orlando Magic hired Jamahl Mosley as their new head coach on Sunday after he spent years with the Dallas Mavericks and was known as one of Luka Doncic's favorites. Well, the Slovenian guard and Mavs star sent his congratulations to Mosley landing the job.

Doncic was not shy in expressing his appreciation of Mosley, and now he is headed to lead the Magic and hopefully revitalize them after they shipped out Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, and Nikola Vucevic at the trade deadline.

The Magic have the 5th and 8th overall pick in the NBA Draft, so Mosley will get to work with his staff with the draft looming. Adding two top-ten players is always nice, and if Markelle Fultz can play at the level he did last season, then the Magic at least have a nice foundation.

It is about time Mosley lands a job, and the NBA head coaching vacancies are all but full with the New Orleans Pelicans still searching for a head coach. Luka's bold testament for Mosley might have helped drive his interest, and after Dallas moved on from Rick Carlisle it was a bit surprising that Mosley wasn't given the job.

Congratulations to Mosley on landing the gig, and surely Doncic and Mosley will have a nice embrace whenever the Mavs play the Magic next season.
