Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic believes the media needs to talk more about Mavs shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr.

Doncic says Hardaway is one of the best catch-and-shoot shooters in the NBA. The Wonder Boy is happy he's on the Mavs:

“He’s probably one of the best catch-and-shoot guys in the league right now and he’s really going underrated,” Doncic said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Not a lot of media talks about him, but he should be. He’s really underrated.”

The Mavs acquired Hardaway from the New York Knicks last season in the blockbuster Kristaps Porzingis trade. He's appeared in 55 games this season and is averaging 15.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 40.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Mavs are 35-23 on the season. They are in seventh place in the Western Conference standings.

One of the reasons Doncic is flourishing with the Mavs is because of all the space he has to operate with. Dallas' front office has done a good job of surrounding Doncic and Porzingis with shooters who can bring their defender out to the perimeter and open driving lanes for the Mavs' two All-Stars.

Barring a late season collapse, the Mavs appear on their way to making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Basketball fans are anxious to see Doncic on the NBA's biggest stage.
