Luka Doncic and Patrick Beverley aren't exactly the best of friends. After a testy showdown on Monday night between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves, that much was noticeable yet again.

After Luka Doncic's Mavs came out victorious, 110-108, the Slovenian was seen sternly grabbing Patrick Beverley during postgame handshakes then once he had his back turned, proceeded to give him a mocking goodbye wave.

The win definitely tasted that much sweeter for the Mavs star knowing that it came against one of the most infamous trash-talkers and backcourt defenders in Pat Bev. The two have had their fair share of beef history after back-to-back Mavs-Clippers series in Doncic's first two trips to the postseason.

Despite the fireworks, neither Luka Doncic nor Patrick Beverley exactly had a game worth shouting about. The Mavs star was the team's fourth leading scorer on the night with just 15 points despite leading the team in shots, connecting on just five of his 17 field goal attempts.

Beverley finished with eight points on a rough 2-for-10 shooting clip, but did tally two steals and a block in 32 minutes of game action.

The result was massive for the Mavs as they try to stave off the T-Wolves from leapfrogging them in the standings. Had Dallas lost, they'd be just half a game ahead of 7th-seeded Minnesota, but instead now hold a crucial 2.5 game lead heading into the final stretch of games.
