Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says the players who have been listed as ill lately by the Mavs just weren't feeling well and probably don't have the coronavirus.

Cuban doesn't see those said Mavs players getting tested for the coronavirus:

“I don’t think any of them had a fever,” Cuban told The Dallas Morning News. “They just weren’t feeling well. And all of them resolved. So they were playing and et cetera.

“I’m not a doctor. I’m just repeating what I’ve been told. Typically if you have corona, you’re going to get progressively worse. And if you don’t, if it’s just a cold or whatever, you’re going to get better. That said, we’ll communicate with the NBA. I’m not going to try to play doctor on radio here. We’ll deal with whatever protocol the NBA sets up.”

It's also possible that the Mavs' players weren't ill at all and it's just a clever way to skirt past the controversial load management terminology by mixing it up. But then again, making such admission would be digging themselves a larger hole.

The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season on Wednesday. The season is expected to be closed for at least 30 days.

Cuban, though, believes the NBA season will be only postponed and not canceled outright. He has expressed an expectation that NBA games could continue as late as August.

Players from the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons were told to self-quarantine after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. The Jazz played the aforementioned teams within the last 10 days.
