As the world continues to deal with the ongoing crisis surrounding COVID-19, Donald Trump has pulled together a panel of notable members of the business community in order to delve into topics related to the reopening of the U.S. economy. All the major sports commissioners were involved, including NBA commissioner Adam Silver, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and many others. One major NBA personality also invited was Mark Cuban of the Dallas Mavericks, who voiced his concerns about the return of the NBA in a recent interview with TMZ.

Mark Cuban claimed in the interview that the hard part will be having fans in attendance for the game when their safety is far from guaranteed with a highly contagious virus ravaging the entire world:

“It’s no question that’s the hard part. Because when are people going to feel confident enough to go to big gatherings? It’s going to be difficult to start off with 25 people let alone 15,000,” Cuban said in the interview. “We’re just going to have to defer to the scientists, the doctors who will tell us what we need to do to get the arenas in shape to be able to accept people and for those people to have confidence.”

Cuban went on to say that if players refuse to play unless they wear masks, then it’s probably too soon to restart sports leagues.

That is certainly the case. Frankly, this disease is too unpredictable and too deadly to even ponder the return of sports leagues as the virus continues unabated – no matter what the whims of any sports owner or politician.
