With still a lot of uncertainty regarding his contract situation, Dallas Mavericks center Nerlens Noel has opted to switch agents with the hopes of securing the max contract he's been seeking since the start of free agency.

According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the 23-year-old Kentucky product will now be represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports moving forward. He is the same agent of some of the biggest stars in the NBA today, like LeBron James, John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, and Ben Simmons.

Noel was traded to the Mavs back in February after months of being included in trade discussions, to clear the logjam the Philadelphia 76ers had in their frontcourt. He appeared in 22 games for his new team, and averaged a very solid 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

Now with a new agent, Noel is hopeful that he can come to terms on a new contract of his liking soon with the Mavericks. However, if both parties don’t agree on one, he will become an unrestricted free agent next summer, and could sign with any team that will show interest in his services.
