Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle says an ESPN report claiming Mavs center DeAndre Jordan has rubbed teammates the wrong way with what they perceive as selfish play is “low rent clickbait terrorism.”
A few weeks ago, DeAndre Jordan essentially stole a rebound from rookie teammate Luka Doncic, which caused quite the stir. The Mavs addressed the situation internally.

Jordan signed a one-year, $22.9 million free agent deal with the Mavs after spending the first 10 years of his NBA career with the LA Clippers. The 30-year-old big man, of course, agreed to sign with Dallas in 2015 but had a change of heart and went back to the Clippers.
In 16 games with Dallas, Jordan is averaging 11.2 points, 13.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. The high-flyer is shooting 61.9 percent from the field and an impressive 81.7 percent from the free-throw line. The Mavs are 10th in the NBA in defensive rating and in points allowed per game, and Jordan is a big reason why Dallas has improved on that end.
Besides Rick Carlisle, Mavs point guard Dennis Smith Jr. and owner Mark Cuban also called the report ridiculous. Jordan recently said he always goes for every rebound and sometimes that can be misinterpreted for stat padding. Dallas has clearly moved on from the incident with Doncic and is standing behind their center.
