Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle can't stop gushing over Mavs power forward Kristaps Porzingis.

Porzingis will make his Mavs debut in 2019-20 alongside Luka Doncic. Now that Dirk Nowitzki has retired, Porzingis and Doncic are the new franchise players in Dallas.

Porzingis was practicing with the Mavs before the season ended and Carlisle loved what he saw from the 7-footer. KP has fully recovered from the ACL tear he suffered in 2017-18.

“We're really excited about having Kristaps on the court,” Carlisle said on ESPN Dallas 103.3. “That goes without saying. He's been absolutely terrific since he's gotten here. Just the tone that he has set as a worker, as a guy that is meticulous on continuing to work to refine his game.

“Really excited about Porzingis. It's hard to fathom how tall this guy is and how skilled.”

Before he tore his ACL with the New York Knicks, Porzingis was averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from beyond the arc.

The Mavs can't wait to see how Porzingis and Doncic mesh on the court next season.

Because he missed a year of basketball, Porzingis will be rusty when he plays next season. However, once he catches a rhythm, KP will likely dominate the competition again.

It's a sight Mavs fans are salivating over.
