It's only preseason, but the preview of the Luka Doncic-Kristaps Porzingis pairing indicates that it is going to be a spectacular show in Dallas.

Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle naturally believes the two will become a major problem for opposing teams this upcoming season:

When the Mavs acquired Porzingis last season, fans instantly fantasized over the prospect of seeing their Slovenian Sensation paired with the Latvian Unicorn. Now that they've actually seen it in the preseason, the more they can't wait to get the regular season underway.

The tandem made their on-court debut together against the Detroit Pistons last week. Doncic took off right where he finished last season with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Porzingis looked like he didn't miss a beat, notching 18 points and seven boards.

So far, in three preseason outings, Luka and KP have looked like the perfect fit next to each other. The two instantly clicked from the get-go and are already displaying a great chemistry with one another. This should only get better as the season rolls along.

There's no doubt that the Mavs are eyeing a return to the playoffs with their international star duo leading the way. We already know Doncic will be a stud in his sophomore season. He's already showing glimpses of it in the preseason. He has looked spectacular in three games so far, with averages of 22.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.

A lot of the success, however, will depend on whether Porzingis can regain his All-Star form and, more importantly, stay healthy throughout the season. While his efficiency needs work, he boasts solid averages of 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds, which is a good start given he's coming off an ACL tear.
