Kristaps Porzingis, now of the Dallas Mavericks, has expressed his immense desire to return back to action after suffering an ACL tear over a year ago. Speaking with NBA analyst Caron Butler in a sideline interview, Porzingis was asked about his health and how it will affect him moving forward:

“I'm feeling great. I'm super excited about the opportunity to get back on the court soon. I've been getting the itch for a long time now that I'm actually with the team a 100%. I just can't wait.”

Apart from sharing his itch to play, Porzingis also talked about the culture of the Mavs organization and what makes it special. Peep the full interview below posted by NBA on TNT.

The Mavs haven't released a timetable for the 23-year-old's return. Though they already made it clear that he'll sit out for the rest of the season to prepare for the next. There have been various clips online of the Latvian practicing with his teammates which is a good sign that he's doing okay.

Porzingis has shared his desire to stay longterm with the Mavs. Reports reveal that he could sign as much as a five-year, $158 million extension with a 2019-20 salary of $27.25 million.
