Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is called the Wonder Boy for a reason. The new Mavs franchise player hit an impossible HORSE shot on Friday down in Orlando with relative ease.

Take a look:

Doncic was playing at an MVP level for the Mavs before games were suspended in March. Clearly, players from all 22 teams in Orlando are going to be rusty. However, by the looks of this shot, Doncic may have already knocked off the rust.

In 54 games for the Mavs prior to Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test forced NBA commissioner Adam Silver to suspend the season in March, Doncic was averaging 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists. The All-Star was also shooting 46.1 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from beyond the arc and 75.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Mavs have already virtually clinched a spot in the 2020 playoffs. Now, Doncic and fellow All-Star Kristaps Porzingis will be tasked with snapping Dallas' playoff-series win drought, as the franchise hasn't won a postseason series since winning the 2011 championship over LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat.

With Doncic and Porzingis leading the charge for (hopefully) the next decade or so, the Mavs are primed to make some serious noise in the NBA in the post-Dirk Nowitzki era.

Once the seeding games start on July 30, Dallas will face the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns (twice), Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers.
