UPDATE: OG has since announced that Ceb will be making it and will be competing in The International.

Two-time The International champions OG might not be able to compete with their offlaner Sébastien “Ceb” Debs for TI10. Enter Team Liquid's Michael “miCKe” Vu, the offlaner who might replace Ceb in case the Frenchman can't make it to Bucharest.

Reports first came in of the OG squad playing games with miCKe in their scrims. Then, OG and Ceb later confirmed that Ceb might be out for TI10. In a Twitlonger post, Ceb shared a medical update on his current condition:

“During a very routine medical check up, I was informed by the doctor that I was undergoing a retinal detachment in my left eye, and that I was few hours away from losing sight irreversibly. Only solution was to get emergency surgery, which I of course went through with. No matter how much we love DotA, some things will always come first. It went well, and that was the most important part.”

With the potential of their not being able to make it to TI10, OG immediately contacted Swede miCKe, asked him to come to their bootcamp in Portugal, and started training with him. In an announcement, OG speaks of miCKe:

“Right now the team decided to call upon Michael “Micke” Vu, from Team Liquid, to join us as our official stand-in for TI.

We are very thankful to Micke for stepping up immediately, and for joining us in Portugal the next day to start practicing with us. We are also very thankful to Team Liquid for working with us during these hard times to ensure that this loan could happen. And last but not least, a special thank you to Valve for helping and supporting us.”

There's still a chance for Ceb to recover quickly and still make it to TI for the later stages. However, for now, we expect miCKe to play with OG when the group stages start on October 7.
