It was recently revealed that Mike Tyson's return fight against Roy Jones Jr. had been postponed until the end of November, and TMZ Sports is confirming this news.

Iron Mike revealed why they moved the fight:

“Changing the date to November 28th will give more people the opportunity to see the biggest comeback in boxing history,” Tyson said in a statement.

Mike Tyson, likewise, didn't forget to talk some trash to Jones:

“This temporary inconvenience will last longer than Roy Jones Jr. He better be ready, I'm coming full force.”

Sept. 12 was the original scheduled date for the fight. However, they changed the date to nearly two and a half months later to accommodate a wider audience, according to Triller, the company that will air the fight via live stream. There has apparently been “enormous interest” in the fight, so this weekend will give them a better opportunity to reach more people.

The eight-round exhibition will remain behind closed doors because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Likewise, the venue will remain the same, with the fight taking place at the Dignity Health Sports Park in California.

Along with the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. mega-fight, former NBA point guard Nate Robinson will also compete in the undercard. The 5-foot-9 guard will go against YouTube star Jake Paul. Several new undercard fights were also announced, with Badou Jack set to face Blake McKernan and Viddal Riley going up against Rashad Coulter.

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. are obviously no longer in their apex forms, but this should still be an entertaining bout between two former world champions. Tyson previously stated that he will donate his earnings from the fight to help in the fight against COVID-19.
