Hailing from Nassau in the Bahamas, the Wildcats center possesses the rare combination of an NBA-ready size and the athleticism of a niftier forward, paring his excellent footwork with a solid mid-range jumper and a pro-ready basketball IQ that has helped balance the constant double teams he's faced throughout his only college season.
I’m just a kid from the Bahamas who came to the States when I was 12 years old with a dream. I can’t say anything about this journey other than that it’s God’s Plan 🙏🏾 Next Stop: 2018 NBA Draft #BullySeason #242toTheWorld pic.twitter.com/6f9igjMrU8

The four-seeded Wildcats were taken out of the NCAA Tournament in surprising fashion after No. 13 seed Buffalo steamrolled past them in an 89-68 first-round outing.
Ayton dropped 14 points and 13 rebounds along with an assist, a steal, and a block in his last performance as a collegiate athlete.
