LaMelo Ball is definitely one of the top prospects in the upcoming NBA Draft. With his size and skills, any team would welcome the flamboyant guard.

Recently, he sat down with NBA Draft analyst Mike Schmitz to break down some of his plays from the National Basketball League in Australia, which showcased his passing acumen. According to Melo, his high school stint at Chino Hills and his dad's influence all played a pivotal role in honing his abilities.

Though the 19-year-old Melo didn't necessarily get into the details of what he sees on the court, he shared that it's all about reading and reacting quickly. It also helps that he's been playing hoops his whole life.

“Pretty much the feel of the game. I've been doing it for a long time. Pretty much just know how to make little passes like that. Just little things.”

Schmitz surmised that Melo developed his passing and uptempo style when he was in high school. To recall, he played with his older brothers Lonzo and LiAngelo and they practically threw fullcourt heaves to one another. Melo agreed with the observation, while also pointing out the impact of his controversial dad, LaVar.

“That's probably where it came from. My dad had us playing real fast.”

The NBA Draft will take place on November 18. Some experts firmly believe that the 6'7″ LaMelo Ball could be snagged as the top overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Most, however, feel that he'll land with the Golden State Warriors as the second overall selection and become the latest star addition to the Bay Area squad. But wherever he goes, Melo is expected to make an impact.
