Despite generating plenty of hoopla around NBA circles, European wonder Luka Doncic might not be joining the biggest league in the world next season after all.

The Slovenian small forward spoke during a EuroLeague Final Four press conference and was hesitant to call this his last hurrah for his home club, Real Madrid, not knowing if he is ready to leave for the next level.

“Ι’m not sure if these are my last two games [in EuroLeague]. We have yet to make this decision. Perhaps after the season,” Doncic said, according to EuroHoops.

Doncic is currently listed as one of the top two prospects in the NBA Draft, linked as a potential option for the Phoenix Suns or the Sacramento Kings, both teams that are in need of a transformational franchise player to get them off the cellar of the Western Conference.

Though Doncic might have unfinished business with his home club, after struggling in the semifinal loss to Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce, finishing the game scoreless in a 0-for-6 shooting in 17 minutes of playing time. He admitted that it was a precious learning experience.

“I learned a lesson in the previous Final Four,” said Doncic. “But last summer, I think I improved. We all learned a lesson.”

Doncic's stock will never be higher than it is now, having led his team to a EuroBasket championship, as well as a long line of success in the second-best league in the world, winning plenty of hardware with Real Madrid.
