Former Golden State Warriors center Ekpe Udoh believes that team doctors will pay the price after Kevin Durant went down with a possible major Achilles injury.

Durant was sidelined for more than a month with what the Warriors called as a strained calf injury. After finding themselves on the verge of bidding goodbye to their three-peat hopes, Durant tried to save the Warriors. Golden State managed to extend the series, but Durant's season ended ugly, hurting his Achilles in Game 5 on Monday.

In a post on his Twitter account, Udoh said that “it's over” for Warriors team doctors after the Durant injury. A fan replied and said that team doctors downplayed the injury, calling it a calf injury instead of an Achilles injury.

In Game 5, the injury was even called a lower leg injury before general manager Bob Myers shed light on the injury, revealing in an emotional press conference that the superstar forward sustained an Achilles injury. Udoh agreed to the fan's statement and said that it is gross.

Durant is expected to miss the remainder of the season, and will likely miss the majority of next season, depending on the severity of the injury. The 30-year-old superstar will undergo more test, but there is growing speculation that he sustained a torn Achilles tendon.
