Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson has been ruled out of Game 6 of the NBA Finals after taking a fall late in the third quarter.

In a fastbreak opportunity, Thompson tried to slam the ball but was met by a foul from Danny Green who was trying to block the shot. Thompson landed awkwardly and grimaced in pain while holding on to his left knee.

The Warriors staff immediately helped Thompson and brought him to the locker room to give him some treatment. However, since it was a shooting foul, he was forced to take the ensuing free throws.

In a classic Klay fashion, upon discovering this, he turned around and went back to the court. He knocked down the free throws and was substituted out.

The Warriors have yet to reveal the exact injury of Klay Thompson. To recall, Thompson suffered a leg injury earlier in Game 2 which caused him to miss Game 3.

Klay finished the night with 30 points, five assists and two steals. He shot 8-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-pointers. His injury is undoubtedly a huge blow to a team that is already without superstar forward Kevin Durant, who ruptured his Achilles in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
