Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry says there was “nothing janky” about the Toronto Raptors' defense in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.

After the Raptors played a box-and-1 zone in the fourth quarter of Game 2, Curry said Toronto's defense was janky. The Raptors didn't deploy the box-and-1 zone in Game 3.

Curry went off for a playoff career-high 47 points in Game 3, but the Warriors still lost. Without All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson in the lineup, the Warriors just didn't have enough scoring options next to Curry. Power forward Draymond Green was the second-highest scorer on the team with 17 points.

Give credit to the Warriors, though. They played really hard and fought for the entire game down three key players in Thompson, Kevin Durant and Kevin Looney. Curry almost single-handedly won Game 3 by himself. It was a spectacular performance for the two-time MVP, who is averaging 34.7 points through the first three games of the Finals.

Assuming Thompson plays in Game 4, which appears to be happening, the Warriors' floor spacing and scoring prowess will receive a big boost. Game 3 showed just how important Thompson is to the Dubs' success. Curry, along with the rest of his teammates, can't wait to get Klay back.
