Free agent big man Kosta Koufos is receiving interest from the Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, and Milwaukee Bucks:

The 7-foot Greek-American center last played for the Kings during the 2018-19 NBA season and became an unrestricted free agent following his four-year tenure with the California-based franchise. Koufos, 30, is adapting to a bench role moving forward after only starting in 14 games over his last 113 appearances for Sacramento.

Koufos was selected with the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz after a one-and-done collegiate season in the Big Ten playing for Ohio State. He competed in two seasons for the Jazz before stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, and Memphis Grizzlies, later arriving in Sacramento as a free agent in the summer of 2015.

Koufos could be a valuable backup center piece for a contending team looking for depth in the frontcourt. He's a skilled rim protector with 1.6 blocks per 36 minutes and 11-year league veteran with six trips to the postseason under his belt—most recently during his time with Memphis.

Detroit is looking for a backup for starting center and two-time All-Star Andre Drummond. The Pistons also have Thon Maker on the roster, acquired by the Milwaukee Bucks for Stanley Johnson.

The Raptors are seeking depth behind 34-year-old center Marc Gasol and big man Serge Ibaka.

The Bucks recently re-signed one-time All-Star Brook Lopez and signed his brother Robin, another lumbering big man.

Sacramento, Koufos' most recent team, has young players like Marvin Bagley III and Harry Giles potentially slotted at center. Dewayne Dedmon is also in place after signing this summer.

Koufos has averaged 5.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in 16.4 minutes in 686 career appearances, shooting 53.4% from the field and 58.2% from the free throw line.
