27-year-old David Pyant won't be facing any charges for sending a death threat to NBA commissioner Adam Silver back in May, according to a report from TMZ.com.

Pyant sent the threat to Silver via e-mail, saying: “If you don't let me play, I'm going to come up there and kill you with my f*cking gun.” He was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment, which could have led to a year in jail. However, despite his nasty words, TMZ reports that Silver has decided to drop the charges.

Pyant won't be serving any time for the threat, 'cause TMZ Sports has learned Silver simply did not want to move forward with the case … and the charges were dropped.

According to a report from the New York Post, Pyant has quite a long rap sheet, as they say. In fact, the Queens, New York resident has 13 prior arrests. Furthermore, he's spent time in prison for robbery, authorities tole The Post.

We're told Pyant was arrested on May 11 and charged with aggravated harassment. A judge granted a temporary restraining order requiring him to stay away from Silver.

Pyant was eventually released without bail.

Though a threat against anyone's life is a serious matter, it seems Silver is ready to move on and focus on the upcoming season.
