The NBA is considering a plan to begin the 2020-2021 season in December. The Toronto Raptors won't be playing at Scotiabank Arena for their home games. With the Raptors considering all of their options, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs wants the Raptors to play home games in Kansas City.

Due to travel restrictions with COVID-19, the Raptors aren't able to play at Scotiabank Arena since they play in Canada. As a result, Toronto is looking into multiple venues for their home games next season.

And with the league wanting to start a season just two months after the Los Angeles Lakers were crowned NBA champions, the Raptors are on a time constraint. Toronto would also prefer to have a venue in line as soon as possible so the team can begin getting everything prepared for the move to their new location for the upcoming season.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Raptors could look into conducting home contests at the KFC Yum! Center in Lousiville, Kentucky. But with the team mulling over alternatives, Mahomes believes Toronto should hold games in Kansas City.

While Mahomes wants the Raptors to have games in Kansas City, it is undetermined what arena the team would play in. Of course, Kansas City doesn't have a current NBA team and the only basketball-ready arenas are at Kansas or Kansas State collegiately.

Seeing that Mahomes is the franchise quarterback of the Chiefs, he seems to be a homer in wanting the Raptors to play in the city he plays football in. At the same time, maybe Toronto considers Mahomes' comments on where the team should play in 2020-2021.
