Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green have committed to playing for Team USA in this summer's Tokyo Olympics, per The Athletic's Shams Charania and Joe Vardon.

Lillard will be participating in his very first Olympics after bowing out in 2016 in Rio. As for Green, he was part of that championship team in Brazil who went 8-0.

Damian Lillard is coming off another fantastic season for the Blazers, averaging 28.8 points and 7.5 dimes per night. Unfortunately, though, Portland's season ended in the first round of the NBA Playoffs after Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets knocked them out in six games.

Green, on the other hand, missed out on the postseason after the Warriors lost in the play-in tournament to the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies. However, he had another solid campaign, making yet another All-Defensive Team and also finishing as a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.

Training camp for the Olympics begins on July 6 in Las Vegas, with the legendary Gregg Popovich coaching the squad once again. The full roster of NBA stars for Team USA will be announced at the end of this month. It's definitely a positive for the United States to have two top players like Damian Lillard and Draymond Green commit to their country as they eye their fourth consecutive gold medal.
