President Donald Trump added yet another shot to his long list of barbs against the NBA, calling the NBA people who have criticized him “dumb” and “nasty.” Trump also picked Michael Jordan over LeBron James, since Jordan, who has been retired from basketball for 17 years, has not spoken out against him.

Trump hasn't been a fan of LeBron James since he became president, so picking Jordan was a safe bet given the latter remains mostly private nowadays as the owner of the Charlotte Hornets. However, it is worth noting that Jordan has been more vocal about supporting Black Lives Matter, even donating millions of dollars to the cause.

Trump let it all out in his comfort zone in an interview with Clay Travis on FOX Sports Radio:

Asked about NBA people criticizing him, Trump said some NBA people are “very, very nasty and frankly, very dumb,” per CNN's Daniel Dale.

Trump didn't stop there, noting the league is in “big trouble, bigger trouble than they understand” for not standing for the national anthem, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

This is hardly the first or last time that Donald Trump has come out firing against the league, though not many seem to pay him any mind. Coaches Gregg Popovich, Steve Kerr, and Stan Van Gundy have been outspoken critics of his presidential regime and his nasty remarks toward the league.

Players like LeBron James and JJ Redick have recently noted no one in the league would miss Trump as a viewer after he threatened to tune out the restart due to the vast majority of players kneeling during the anthem. Stephen Curry also just said the NBA is probably doing something right if Trump is upset at them.

Jonathan Isaac and Meyers Leonard are the only players who have stood for the anthem in the NBA bubble.
