The 2020 NBA All-Star Game will honor the late Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant, the league announced Friday.

Team LeBron will be wearing the No. 2 jersey to honor Gianna and Team Giannis will wear the No. 24 jersey to honor Kobe. All the jerseys will also feature a patch displaying nine stars, representing the nine lives lost in the tragic helicopter crash last Sunday.

The All-Star Game is in Chicago this season. The United Center crowd will surely be excited to see the players playing in the world's greatest pickup game while honoring one of the best players in NBA history, along with his daughter.

The passing of Bryant is going to take a long time to get over. The Los Angeles Lakers are playing their first game on Friday since the death of Kobe. Their Tuesday matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers was postponed since both LA teams were emotional.

Just like last season, Lakers superstar LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the All-Star captains. Both LeBron and Giannis had close relationships with Bryant. Antetokounmpo trained with Kobe the summer before he won MVP, while LeBron has had a longstanding relationship with Bryant for years.

A lot of players around the league have changed their jerseys numbers to honor Kobe Bryant. A number of other players are keeping their No. 8 or No. 24 in order to pay tribute to Kobe.
