Jared Kushner might not know that Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Lou Williams has served as the focus of many jokes and quips over the course of the last several months.

However, the skilled NBA sixth man turned quite serious on Monday. Lou Williams took to Twitter to respond to a supremely controversial claim made by Jared Kushner, who currently serves as a senior advisor to his father-in-law President Donald Trump.

In fact, Lou Williams couldn't have been more direct with his feelings regarding this matter as the veteran sharpshooter didn't even use words to respond to Kushner, but rather just a single emoji.

The NBA has typically found itself ahead of the curve when it comes to the ongoing fight against racism while giving its players a voice more so than any other major professional sports league in the United States. Once again, the league wasted no time in taking a stance against racial and social injustice this summer as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver worked with the NBPA to make numerous changes to its courts and uniforms. Lou Williams noticed that in addition to the NBA sporting the words, “Black Lives Matter,” on every court down in Orlando, the league also allowed its players to choose a social message for the back of their jerseys.

As a veteran leader of both the Clippers and the NBA as a whole, Lou Williams has long been respected throughout the league. It is highly unlikely that Williams' thoughts are only representative of himself, and not a broader sentiment, this time around.
