NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal is finally ready to pass on his legendary nickname of Superman, and Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is the player Shaq is passing it down to.

If you recall, when Dwight Howard was one of the best players in the game with the Orlando Magic, he called himself Superman. O'Neal, however, said Howard wasn't worthy of the nickname.

Giannis Antetokounmpo already has a really cool nickname. He's called The Greek Freak due to his freakishly long arms and long strides. Shaq, though, believes Giannis should be called Superman instead:

“I've never given my name up before, but I'm giving it to him. He's the new Superman,” Shaq said of Antetokounmpo during Thursday's Stephen A. Smith Show. “I didn't hit no 3-pointer either, but he's dominating and that's what I like. He's dominating in the paint. You taking it to the hole. You throwing it down. You ain't shooting no flip shots …

“And you know what? I don't want to encourage big guys to shoot jumpers and 3-pointers. Stay your big ass on the inside and dominate like you been doing. So I denounce myself as Superman and I'm giving to the ‘Greek Freak.' You heard it here first.”

In 20 games this season, Giannis Antetokounmpo is putting up monster numbers for the Bucks. The two-time All-Star is averaging 27.3 points, 12.9 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 57.7 percent from the field. Antetokounmpo still can't shoot from deep, as he's only shooting 11.8 percent from distance.

Giannis, though, can get to the rim whenever he wants with his long strides and is a nightmare on the break. He can take two steps from half court and he’ll be dunking the ball.
