The Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks will play in an Eastern Conference matchup on Tuesday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a 76ers-Knicks prediction and pick.

The 76ers and Knicks both have big goals for 2021-22, and this will be their first meeting of the new season. Joel Embiid will take on Julius Randle & Co. as each sides look to gel and play good basketball in this young season. Embiid is coming off of a season where he put up big numbers, and finished 2nd in MVP voting. The Knicks added Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier this offseason and look like an improved group from the team that lost in five games to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs earlier this year.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the 76ers-Knicks odds for this Tuesday matchup.

NBA Odds: 76ers-Knicks Odds

Philadelphia 76ers +1.5 (-110), +102 ML

New York Knicks -1.5 (-110), -120 ML

Over 217.5 points (-110)

Under 217.5 points (-110)

Why The 76ers Can Cover The Spread

The Ben Simmons saga may be inching towards a resolution, so the 76ers can just play basketball as they look to get their young star back into the lineup. He won't play tonight, but it might be a weight off the rest of the team's shoulders to know things could be resolved soon. Embiid will look to continue his dominance and get his shooters like Seth Curry involved in the game. The 76ers might not be quite as deep as the Knicks without Simmons, but they still have the best player in the gym in Embiid, who will be looking to put on a show for the fans in Madison Square Garden. Look for Embiid to have a big game tonight, putting the 76ers in a good spot to win this game.

Why The Knicks Can Cover The Spread

This Knicks team is better than last years. Walker and Fournier have provided a stability in the backcourt that they didn't quite have last season. Derrick Rose has less pressure to come in and handle the ball on top of his scoring duties, and Randle doesn't have to be overloaded with playmaker duties all of the time either. This is a very solid New York roster that will again be contending for a playoff (and not play-in) spot in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks have a great shot to cover and win on their home floor, but they'll need Mitchell Robinson to do his best to keep Embiid in check, as it can be a long night if you let Embiid get in a rhythm.

Final 76ers-Knicks Prediction & Pick

Take the Knicks on their home floor at such a slim number.
