On the last day before the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Clippers will take on the Washington Wizards in the nation's capital. It's time to continue the NBA odds series and make a Clippers-Wizards prediction for the game.
The Clippers head into the game with a 24-13 record which is good for 3rd in the Western Conference, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers.
As for the Wizards, they have a 13-20 record which has them towards the bottom of the East. However, Scott Brooks' squad is 7-3 in their past ten games.

Why The Clippers Could Cover The Spread
The Clippers are one of the best teams in the league, plain and simple. When Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are both on the court this team is terrific.
Unfortunately, Leonard missed Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics and the Clippers lost 117-112. George scored 32 points on 12-26 from the field and Reggie Jackson followed suit with 25 points on a 10-14 clip.
Leonard will be back for the clash against the Wizards, and to be frank, nobody on Washington can match up well with either George or Kawhi.
The Clippers will hold sole possession of third place in the West with a victory on Thursday and will head into the break with some much-needed rest as they look to earn a top-three seed in the conference.
Ultimately, finding a way for Brooks' team to stop the two Clippers' stars will be too much.
Why The Wizards Could Cover The Spread
Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, it's that simple.
Westbrook has regressed a bit this season but has shown flashes of his old self and can turn it up on any given night, it's just a matter of when.
As for Beal, he's earned a spot on the East All-Star squad, and deservedly so. He is averaging an NBA-leading 32.9 points per game and has been brilliant this year for a disappointing Wizards team.
The rest of their roster is subpar and it's going to take a monumental night on the offensive end for the Wizards to have a shot at topping the Clippers.
Final Clippers-Wizards Prediction and Pick
Beal and Russ have big games once again. However, it's not enough and the return of Kawhi proves to be too much for the Wizards to overcome.
George and Leonard are simply too tough to guard and the Wizards don't have an answer to slow down the superstar duo for Los Angeles.
