The Sacramento Kings will play the Golden State Warriors Monday night in a Western Conference matchup. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Kings-Warriors prediction and pick.

The Kings and Warriors will play on Monday as the Warriors look to stay hot. Sacramento is one of several teams around the NBA that has key players in the Covid/health and safety protocols. De'Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell, and Marvin Bagley III are among the players in the protocol for the Kings. The Warriors have Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole listed as out for Monday's game due to Covid protocols as well. To no surprise, Golden State comes into this matchup as double-digit favorites over the shorthanded Kings.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Kings-Warriors odds for this Monday NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Kings-Warriors Odds

Sacramento Kings +12.5 (-110)

Golden State Warriors -12.5 (-110)

Why The Kings Could Cover The Spread

The Kings will face an uphill battle on Monday in the Bay. In addition to Fox and others being out due to Covid protocols, center Richaun Holmes missed Sunday's game due to an eye injury. If he's unable to go, the Kings will be extremely shorthanded inside as backup center Alex Len is one of the players in the Covid protocols. Even at full strength, the Kings would have the potential to be blown out by Golden State. With so many guys out, this game may be a foregone conclusion. Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are not listed on the Warriors injury report for this one, so it should be all systems go for Golden State on Monday night.

Sacramento is 5-6 vs. the spread as a road underdog this season. The Kings are 14-17 overall vs. the spread, and have not covered in four of their last six games. This will be Sacramento's third game in the last four days, so it's possible the shorthanded group could simply run out of gas in this one. Sacramento is 6-9 outright on the road this season.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

The Warriors are the (much) better team, at home, and the healthier group in this spot. The absence of Fox makes the outlook bleak to begin with for the Kings, regardless of the opponent. This could be one of the easier spots for a win that the Warriors will see all season vs. a shorthanded Sacramento team. Expect Stephen Curry and the Warriors to take care of business as big favorites in this spot. With a spread this large, there is always potential for a backdoor cover but the outcome of this game should never be in doubt. The Warriors operate like a well-oiled machine when Curry and Green play, and it appears the duo will take the floor together tonight after resting Saturday night in the team's loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Golden State is 11-4-1 against the spread as a home favorite this season, and 18-10-2 vs. the spread overall. The Warriors are 14-2 outright on their home floor.

Final Kings-Warriors Prediction and Pick

Take the Warriors to win and cover in this one. Sacramento is just too banged up to expect anything else, and they aren't that good when healthy to begin with. Curry and the Warriors should roll to another victory on Monday night.

Final Kings-Warriors Prediction & Pick: Warriors -12.5 (-110)
