The Washington Wizards and New York Knicks will battle in an Eastern Conference preseason matchup on Friday night. It's time to continue our NBA odds series and make a Wizards-Knicks prediction and pick.

The Wizards and Knicks will each look to get ready for the regular season in their final preseason contest on Friday night. The Wizards, who have their training camp clouded by Bradley Beal's vaccination status, will look to round into form under new head coach Wes Unseld Jr. The Knicks will look to return to their form from last season, when they were the No. 4 seed in the East before losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the Wizards-Knicks odds for this Friday matchup.

NBA Odds: Wizards-Celtics Odds

Washington Wizards +5  (-110)

New York Knicks  -5 (-110)

Over 216 points (-115)

Under 216 points (-105)

Why The Wizards Can Cover The Spread

The Wizards will be near full strength for their preseason finale on Friday, with Thomas Bryant, Rui Hachimura and Cassius Winston listed as out. Washington will have a good shot to win this game behind Beal and new point guard Spencer Dinwiddie. Beal and Dinwiddie will continue to work on their chemistry ahead of their first season playing together. The Wizards are a decent pick, as having the points in a game where regular rotation players may be pulled in the second half is always better than laying the points.

Why The Knicks Can Cover The Spread

The Knicks are also nearly at full strength, but they do have some injuries at center. Nerlens Noel is day to day, while Mitchell Robinson, who has not yet appeared this preseason, might have a chance to play Friday night per Ian Begley of SNY. The Knicks, who added Kemba Walker this offseason, will look to continue to build chemistry ahead of the new season as well. After getting back to the postseason for the first time since the Carmelo Anthony era, the Knicks will look to keep things rolling with Julius Randle and Co. headed into a new league year.

Final Wizards-Knicks Prediction & Pick

Preseason games can be difficult to judge. While it appears the Wizards and Knicks are both at full strength tonight, it's difficult to count on how much key players will ultimately play. Take the under, though if you wanted to pick a team, I'd go with the Wizards and the points over laying points with the Knicks. The Knicks will actually play defense whether it is the preseason or not under coach Tom Thib0deau, so the under might be a decent play if the fourth quarter becomes a game between the reserves.

FINAL WIZARDS-KNICKS PREDICTION & PICK: Under 216 (-110)
