While it's not exactly the fireworks that a Kyle Lowry move would've prompted at the NBA trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers did add a key piece, acquiring George Hill from the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 3-team swap.

This NBA trade deadline move has some lairs to it.

The 76ers get George Hill, who's averaging 11.8 points per game but has only played in 14 contests for the Thunder this year. He did deal with a thumb injury back in February that sidelined him for awhile.

His addition is a welcoming sign to the 76ers, who could use another ball dominant guard alongside Ben Simmons. He brings a veteran presence with plenty of postseason experience, most notably in Indiana.

The Thunder continue to do what the Thunder do, load up on future draft assets at the NBA trade deadline. They netted two second rounders in this trade, along with Tony Bradley and Austin Rivers. Rivers had fallen out of favor and was gone from the rotation in New York. He has been out since the all-star break on paternity leave.

And how about those Knicks! They were involved in a trade! But more so as a middle man, acquiring Terrance Ferguson. They also shipped out a fan favorite in the deal.

Brazdeikis was a G-league star but was never in the rotation for Tom Thibodeau despite Knicks fan constantly clamoring for him to be. With this trade the Sixers get a solid point guard, maybe not necessarily the first option on their list, but a good one nonetheless. The Thunder built up more draft capital and will have what seems like a million picks sprinkled throughout the next six drafts.

And the Knicks do a little shuffling here, perhaps setting up other deals to be made on NBA trade deadline day.
