The New Orleans Pelicans have recently gotten calls about multiple players on their roster, including JJ Redick. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Pelicans have keyed in on the Philadelphia Sixers, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Boston Celtics as possible landing spots for Redick.

JJ Redick signed with the Pelicans ahead of the 2019-2020 season in hopes to give some much-needed outside shooting and veteran experience to a young team. After averaging 15.3 points per game while playing 26.4 minutes per game last season, Redick has seen his role in New Orleans rapidly decline.

In the past two games, JJ Redick has been a healthy scratch due to Stan Van Gundy electing to go with younger guards like Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis. Seeing his situation in New Orleans, teams have begun calling about Redick's availability.

Of course, JJ Redick has been with the Sixers before when he was with them from 2017-2019. With new general manager Daryl Morey prioritizing shooting around Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, Redick would give them another floor-spacing option.

As for the Nets, they need some more firepower at the guard position.

Whether JJ Redick would join the Nets' starting lineup alongside Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant or not, he would supply Brooklyn with more scoring on the wing.

Lastly, the Celtics don't have many three-point shooters outside of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. And with the recent injury to Marcus Smart, getting a catch-and-shoot sniper like JJ Redick could give them a much-needed piece on offense.

Regardless of where he ends up, JJ Redick seemingly has an interest in joining a team in the Northeast due to his family residing there. If he does land with one of these three teams, the value of the acquisition for that team will lie not only in the roster addition itself, but in the fact that the other two teams will miss out on a possible target.
