Former Brooklyn Nets first round pick Chris McCullough proved how he understands the value of his hard-earned money by recently investing on an iced tea chain. Unfortunately, it's not what we originally thought when we first heard about the news via TMZ Sports.

While we first imagined that McCullough invested in a promising iced tea store/restaurant chain, it turns out that he actually literally bought an iced tea-themed jewelry chain worth $100,000.

That's right. The 23-year-old G League mainstay, who last year made somewhat of a breakthrough with the Washington Wizards by appearing in 19 regular season contests, just spend $100,000 on a Lipton lemon-flavored Iced Tea necklace emblem. McCullough, of course, had his moniker of “Brisk” blatantly stamped across the beverage can.

Here is a look at the marvelous piece of art that just cost MocCullogh a fortune, courtesy of TMZ Sports.

After being drafted 29th overall by the Nets in 2015, the former Syracuse standout spent majority of the next three seasons in the G League. McCollough had stints with the Long Island Nets, Northern Arizona Suns, Wisconsin Herd, and most recently, with the Erie Bayhawks.

Per basketball-reference.com, McCollough did earn a total $3.8 million in the past three years, so I guess it would be logical to spend roughly 2.6% of that on a piece of flashy and rather questionable piece of jewelry. In that context, perhaps one could argue that it was a pretty frugal expenditure.

Then again, given our obvious non-existent knowledge in the high world of bling, who are we to judge McCollough on this? Go on, Chris. You just keep on living your best life!
