Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Joe Harris had the best season of his career in 2018-19. After four years in the league, his breakout season came with a bang. He won the three-point contest, defeating the best shooter to ever play the game, Stephen Curry, in the final round. He led the league in three-point shooting by making a whopping 47.4 percent fo his three-pointers. Harris had found a team which he thrived on.

However, 2019-20 is Harris' last year under contract in Brooklyn. He will be an unrestricted free agent after the season ends. Harris spoke on his future and his love for the Nets franchise, claiming he wants to return to the quality organization:

“I hope to be in Brooklyn, obviously. This is the organization that gave me an opportunity. I say all the time that it’s a first-class organization from top to bottom. Just the way that your interactions are with ownership to your interactions with the front office. It would be hard for me to think of a better place with better people in the NBA.”

An added bonus of staying in Brooklyn would be that the team will be legitimate championship contenders next year. The Nets landed Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant this offseason, but Durant won't be fully healthy until the 2020-21 season.

Brooklyn would be smart to lock up Harris and give Durant and Irving one of the best perimeter threats in the league. Harris could get to stay in the franchise that built him into the player he is today, and the Nets would get one step closer to the coveted championship trophy.
