Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets are really struggling right now.

The Nets are just 2-8 in their last 10 games and have lost five straight.

Irving, though, is preaching patience amid Brooklyn's struggles:

“Just stay patient. Really stay patient and don't get ahead of myself, talking too soon,” Kyrie Irving said, via SNY.

“I think that's the most important thing, and really stay confident. Keep the guys engaged, make sure everyone's sticking to the game plan and we're just continuing to get better. That's the best way I can describe it, just continue to get better and go from there.”

The Nets are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 18-25. They have a two-game lead over the Detroit Pistons in the standings.

Irving has appeared in just 16 games for the Nets this season because of a shoulder injury which sidelined him. The All-Star is averaging 26.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists while shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 91.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Nets will look to snap their losing skid on Saturday when they take on the Pistons in Detroit. It's a big game for Brooklyn since the Pistons are right behind them in the standings.
