The release of the second Avengers: Endgame trailer has Marvel fans and comic hero geeks up in arms. That extends to Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

The rising NBA performer had a very humorous reaction to the trailer launch, angling for an early release from the film studio:

As the playoff picture stands entering Thursday's games, the Nets are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, two games clear of the Miami Heat for the eighth and final playoff spot. Dinwiddie is a major reason for the team's significant year-over-year improvement.

The 25-year-old has improved on a breakout 2017-18 campaign to post a career-high 17.5 points per game. He has become a leading candidate for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award.

Spencer Dinwiddie is also averaging nearly five assists per game while posting a career-high 54-percent Effective Field Goal rate.

The Nets finished 12th in the East with 28-54 record last season, but their young core has made drastic improvements.

Point guard D'Angelo Russell made the All-Star team at just 22 years old. He is averaging over 20 points and nearly seven assists and four boards per contest. Second-year center Jarrett Allen has established himself as an elite rim protector with 1.5 blocks per game while chipping in 11.2 points and 8.4 rebounds.

Joe Harris–the winner of the NBA Three-Point Shootout on All-Star weekend in Charlotte–is averaging nearly 14 points per game while leading the league in 3-point percentage. The Nets are receiving substantial production from a variety of sources, exactly what any NBA team needs to cross the threshold and become good enough to make the NBA postseason.

Brooklyn has officially arrived as a potential playoff team in the East. Do not let the comments of Spencer Dinwiddie about a fictional piece of entertainment mislead you: The Nets aren't fictional; they are for real.
