At this point, comeback rumors will be following Brett Favre around after he is in the grave.

So, is it time for another Favre Watch?

Probably not, but there were a few minutes when it looked like there was at least a chance that Favre was considering another run in the NFL. Favre, 49, announced on Instagram that he was planning on making a comeback to the NFL for the 2020 season before immediately deleting the post and causing a stir. Stop us if you have heard this before.

He says he was hacked.

Favre fans shouldn't hold their breath. Despite famously backing out of his retirement in 2008, Favre putting to rest any possibility of a return, confirming to TMZ,  after officially retiring in 2010 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Favre will be remembered in Minnesota for first torturing the Vikings during his tenure with the uglier side of the border battle (Green Bay), and for his iconic 2009 campaign where he threw 33 touchdowns and helped the Vikings reach the NFC Championship Game.

Its understandable why people would get excited though. While many players have flirted with the idea of coming out of retirement, Favre was notoriously (read: hilariously) inconsistent with the decision of when to hang up the cleats late in his career.

While few probably expected anything to come of the post, it's still easy to see Favre trying to give it one last go.

An 11-time Pro Bowler, Favre was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
